Background information

Triple E is a regional local store located in the suburbs of a metropolitan area. Triple E strives to deliver quality and affordable products to its customers. They offer a wide spectrum of competitive pricing. Triple E targets customers like family mums and workers who lack the time to do instore shopping or want quality and affordable products

Task - Design an app for Triple E , called EasyChek that allows users to easily and seamlessly order products which are delivered to their addresses.

User research

I conducted user research, including interviews and empathy maps, to understand the target users and their needs. One key user group identified was working adults who are very busy and lack time for in-store shopping. However, the research also revealed that time was not the only factor limiting in-person shopping - other user problems included obligations, interests, or challenges that make it difficult to access products or go to restaurants physically.

User pain points

  • Limited time - People with busy work schedules find it difficult to make time to go to the store for shopping.

  • Convenient and smooth shopping experience - Slow and cumbersome apps are hindering the shopping process.

  • Tracking orders - Many current apps lack the feature of real-time tracking for purchased items.

  • Organizing information - Apps with menus overloaded with text make it hard to navigate and place orders.

Ideation - Paper wireframes/Sketching

I ensured that the elements included in the digital wireframes were well-suited to address user pain points by drafting iterations of each app screen on paper. My priority for the home screen was to create a quick, seamless, and easy checkout process to help users save time.
